Delay creams are an excellent treatment for premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is defined as ejaculating before either partner achieves satisfaction; it is one of the most common complaints that affect men from time to time. Sexual excitement, anxiety and over stimulation in the initial stages of a relationship can result in premature ejaculation in most men. Similarly, this malady affects younger men who are still learning about the intricacies of sexual activity and sexual relationships. It can also affect mature men who have resumed sexual activity after a long abstinence. Premature ejaculation is rarely caused by any underlying disease or structural or physical problems.

Participating in sexual activity in a relaxed atmosphere can often delay ejaculation, making the problem go away.

Practice and relaxation can help delay ejaculation; you can also distract yourself through non-sexual thoughts to slow down the excitement phase during sexual activity. There are several other helpful techniques and pre ejaculation products that you can try.

• The ‘stop and start’ method: Involves sexually stimulating the man with 30 second intervals when he is about to reach orgasm. Repeating this pattern helps delay ejaculation.

• The ‘squeeze’ method: Involves sexually stimulating the man and then squeezing the end of the penis for about 30 seconds when he is about to ejaculate. Repeating this pattern also helps delay ejaculation.

• Other treatment methods include antidepressants such as Prozac and other selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). These medications are helpful because one of their side effects is prolonging the time taken to reach the ejaculatory stage.

• The delay cream works by desensitizing the end of the penis and reducing stimulation. They act like local or tropical anesthetics. Decreased feeling in the penis may delay ejaculation.

• Condom use may also prevent premature ejaculation for some men. Thicker condoms (or two condoms) can also desensitize by decreasing sensitivity and therefore stimulation, thus prolonging the sexual act and delaying ejaculation.

Remember getting good at overcoming premature ejaculation can take a bit of time. Practice will make you perfect. If you find that things are not improving then help is available in the form of evaluation by a sex therapist, psychologist, or a psychiatrist who is a expert in this field.
